For those who don't already know, Brooklyn's The Rub have really been doing it the last few years. From Cosmo Baker's edits through DJ Eleven's mixtapes to DJ Ayres' Baltimore Club tracks that have been tearing up dancefloors across the globe, The Rub are one of the most serious and well respected DJ crews of this decade.

Last year they embarked on an ambitious mix series to chronicle the history of Hip Hop from 1979 to the present day. They made it all the way to 1989 before taking a long break but now they're back in the New Year and they're up to 1995.

We couldn't recommend this series more. Subscribe to their weekly Brooklyn Radio podcast and get schooled by some of the most knowledgable dudes in the game.
