We've been listening to a fair amount of Cocteau Twins recently which is probably why "Sidetripping" grabbed us so gently by the proverbials, compelling us to post with this accompanying paragraph of excuses. Nite Jewel

Been meaning to post some Nite Jewel for a couple of months now. The Los Angeles resident is currently raising eyebrows around internet land with her latest 7" single, "Weak For Me" on 1984 Records, which apparently Stone's Throw is partly involved with (we've posted a snippet below). Her sound is a slow, dusty, lo-fi cross of Dream Pop, 80s R&B, Sade and James Pants, with blissfully gritty results.
