Laberge - This Feeling EP [Free Remix + Video]
If you've been following the blog in the last few months, you'll know we're pretty keen on Vancouver's Laberge (previous posts). Inspired by legendary house label, Crydamoure, his sound is a clean, unpretentious take on disco house with funky quirks, warm bass and a breakbeaty (in a good way) edge.
His second EP, This Feeling has just been released on Solid Bump featuring 3 original tracks and a remix or "Make Out Session", whichever you prefer, from Meroz. You can buy it here and here. The video to track 3, "We Don't Know", is above.
To spread the love, they're giving away a remix to another of the EPs tracks by DJ EQ which we've posted for your consumption.

Retro/Grade
New video (not sure whether it's official) from Serge Santiago and Tom Neville a.k.a. Retro/Grade, the robots and lasers nicely befitting their 80s centric, future-retro sound. Check their track "Moda" below for more.

Hari-Kari, Kanye and a Subcutaneous Troll
Directed by Spike Jonze.
Our first ever Kanye post! On reflection, it's been worth the wait; an epic, 2 year plus build to the above video, which has to be considered among the greatest moments of Kanye's career. If his VMA antics were a curveball, then this is the equivalent of a knuckleball; his "Imma let you finish" moment well within the realm of what we've come to expect from Mr. West (and most likely a shrewd publicity stunt); but this is different. In "We Were Once A Fairytale" we see Kanye's self-effacing, amateur dramatic side and to complete a dubious baseball metaphor, it's kinda unpredictable and weird.
Marvel at Kanye's acting ability, gasp as he vomits rose petals, ponder the meaning of a troll living in 'Ye's innards and enjoy what we feel is the most interesting thing Kanye West has done, for better or worse, in the last couple of years.
