Kid Who Edits and Mix

It's been a while since the last Kid Who update so here are some of the more recent fruits of his labour including a tasty mix for Fine Art Recordings. So far, 2009's been a great year for the Camberwellian with the upward trend showing no sign of stopping, so keep an eye on him. You can do this over at kidbreaks.blogspot.com where he regularly posts remixes, edits and random finds.

Summer Holiday

Things have been a little quieter this week so thought we'd bring you up to speed. Mr. Neil was in Vienna enjoying the schnitzel while a minor heatwave in the UK caused everything to slow down a little. Never fear we still had our ear to the ground. This is what we heard...

Alexander Robotnick - King of Weird

Fool's Gold sent us this awesome video of Alexander Robotnick in the studio with Ludas Pinsky. With several new productions out, the Italo legend is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Check his youtube account for some weirdness.

Kid Who Fine Art Mix

Been seriously digging Kid Who's mix for Fine Art. Keep checking the Fine Art podcast and their show on Samurai FM for a taste of this beautifully paced, 85 minute, disco chugathon. We'll post it as soon as we get the nod. In other Kid related news; he and Alpha Neil were in the studio again this past week so look for the results to surface on your favourite social network very soon (not facebook, the other one).

New Goodness Mix!

Speaking of mixes, we're back at it again. After almost a year since our last offering we decided it was time to bring everyone up to speed on what we're digging. Includes jams from Mock & Toof, Devlin and Ghostdad, Black Meteoric Star, Kid Who, Alpha Neil, 6th Borough Project, Major Lazer and more! Should be up in the next few days so check back.

Laminate Radio

Was at the Horse and Groom in Shoreditch on Thursday for the Reprise night featuring an appearance from DJ Die (yes, he of Full Cycle/V fame) with his and Gus Pirelli's new act, Laminate Radio. Apparently the Bristolian has a new alias; Blue Fontaine, and a new direction in the form of unadulterated, classic boogie. I've seen this guy play to thousands of people so it was nice seeing him playing to a small room of disco heads. Fun was had by all.

Kid Who Wins Yalla Yalla Remix Competition

Long time Goodness chum and part-time contributor, Kid Who, has been making waves with his recent stream of chuggy disco edits and remixes. So much so that turns out he impressed somebody at fine art recordings with his entry for their recent remix competition, taking home the proverbial bacon with his cosmic mix of Sheharzad's "Yalla Yalla".
Check it out below:

Stephanie Mills - Pilot Error (Kid Who Instrumental Edit)

Another jam from Camberwell's finest, Kid Who, who's recently been keeping us more than up to date on the spacey, instrumental, disco side of things. This guy is in prolific form, so look for plenty more Kid Who edits in the near future plus maybe the odd collaboration.

Also if you missed it, you should really get on "Rave for One", Kid's cosmic mix from a couple months back. Breaks for days and extremely tastefully done.

Gone for a minute but we're back with.... Kid Who!

A big apology for our recent hiatus but a huge welcome to our newest contributor, Fidgit and Hear Nu Evil's DJ Kid Who *applause*. Kid Who DJs regularly in our fair capital (London - in case it wasn't obvious) at some of the finest clubs and bars and is especially well known for his "Dangerous in the 80s" club jam featured on the first Hear Nu Evil edits 12". He is also an all round good dude, so who better to inform us of his latest material and the unearthed boogie, disco and hip hop gems he's playing out at the moment. Kid Who, welcome!
