Midnight Juggernauts have an album on the way and are about to release a limited run 7" single (only 500 copies) of "This New Technology" which you can purchase here. They also managed to enlist an impressive cast of remixers for the digi ep, with Juan Maclean, Nile Delta, Memory Tapes and Emperor Machine all lending a hand. We posted some Memory Tapes yesterday so we'll let you hunt that one down yourselves but the rest are available below, the Juan Maclean remix in glorious 320 kbps quality sound. Treat your speakers.

Walk Me Home

Dayve Hawk seemingly doesn't take breaks - his output over the last 6 months putting him up there with the most prolific (non-rap) artists of the year. Better yet, the quality isn't subsiding either. "Walk Me Home" expertly weaves together strands of disco, early techno, krauty ambience and seasonal spookiness into a 6 minute mix of sorts. Also, apparently he has a twitter page, so get following.

Memory Tapes - Treeship

Apparently the "Seek Magic" vinyl has been slightly delayed, so to keep us satiated in the meantime, the We're Tapes blog has released "Treeship", a 20 minute selection of new instrumentals from Memory Tapes which originally featured on CD2 of the "Seek Magic" CD release. Needless to say, it's fairly stunning.

Memory Tapes Releases Album, Samples Basketball

It's been a memorable summer (ahem) for the man behind Memory Tapes, Dayve Hawk, with his brand of dusty, lo fi, synth pop taking over a sizable portion of blog land. If we had to crown a Goodness king of summer, it would be a not-very-macho fight to the finish between this guy and Washed Out, both of them incorporating sampling into their synth based setups to devastatingly blissful effect. But putting fantasy indie death matches to one side, the issue at hand is Memory Tapes and his new album, "Seek Magic" which is out now. Get your hard copies here and the digital version here.

Also posted below is the most recent leak from said album, "Green Knight", to our ears one of the most complete Memory Tapes songs to date. Fluffy, anthemic, synths, heartland guitar, a driving bassline and a piano breakdown featuring the sound of a bouncing basketball with trainers squeeking on wood flooring in the background. Excellent, and just the kind of weirdness we've come to expect from Memory Tapes.
