Notting Hill Carnival '07

Carnival time again and it was a perfect weekend for it. I love carnival because it's one of the country's, or rather one of London's best kept secrets. The media barely mentions it and the "Carling" Leeds and Reading festivals are on the same weekend so if you're not from London you probably don't know it's on.

Spent more time than usual at the north end which is a bit less reggae and a bit more dance orientated but all was good and made up for by a couple hours at the Aba Shanti roots system to close out the day.

The food was excellent, the music was great and the security was over the top. See you next year!

Bastard Reggae

By the way here's a reggae mix I did in the run up to last year's carnival which is kinda fun. A bunch of dancehall, roots, dub and edits thrown in to keep you entertained for 45 minutes.
